The little Studio on...
the Big Woods Road

...And, unlike "Elvis", we do have a Wooden Heart! These are the beautiful, sensuous to touch, aromatic, Lucky Cedar Hearts. They make a wonderful gift to give to anyone you want to remind of your warm and faithful friendship, love; or to just wish to someone the best of good Irish luck... Just rub this Lucky Cedar Heart for your heart's desire to come true, and for you, it will happen...

Item No. Cd 1.
LUCKY CEDAR HEART... $14.25
(includes shipping & insurance cost)

Each "Lucky Cedar Heart" is selectively cut from aromatic Cedar wood to capture the best, possible combination of wood-grain and color from that particular piece of wood. Each wood-burned drawing is, also, specifically designed and carved into the wood specially for the grain of that particular piece of wood. So, all Cedar Hearts are unique to themselves, and no two will look alike... Some will be lighter, some will be darker, some will have a little more drawing, and some will have a little less. Each "Lucky" Cedar Heart will be Date-Numbered and signed by the artist, M.L. Farahay.
Approximate Size =
5 1/2" high X 5" wide X 3/8" thick. .

The following art-prints are computer-
enhanced reproductions of the original

The ALASKAN SERIES

These pieces were inspired by and created in Alaska from
my personal life experiences while homesteading and working
there over a ten-year period. Most of these were painted in
the canvas "Jamesway", Quonset style tent, serving as our
living quarters in the foothills along the Knik River, or
in our homestead cabin further up the river along
Hunter's Creek. They were painted in the long nights of
the Alaskan winters by kerosene lamplight while my spouse
and children slept. They were first exhibited in a
one-artist show at the grand opening of Anchorage's, then,
new "J.C. Penny's Mall. They almost all sold in the first
day. These prints, are numbered zero through two hundred and fifty.

The HERON SERIES...

.

The Heron Series was inspired and created by observing
the birds at and around a roost on the island near the dam
at Rocky Fork Lake; and from the visits of a particularly
hearty and robust, individual, bird. This heron seems to, always,
arrive at the stair-stepped ponds in the front of our home when
most, emotionally, needed by us… even in the middle of winter
when the ponds are, for the most part, frozen over. These
prints are numbered zero through three hundred and fifty.

...or what I, sometimes, refer to as the miscellaneous
series, has been compiled from a number of works, to include
original idea, invention pictorials. These are works most
requested by others of art created in exercises practicing
to develop other works that, are now, for the most part,
long ago forgotten or destroyed. These prints, numbered
zero through four hundred and fifty, are for sale at
$16.50 each.
